Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy is a draft. Some business details are still to be added, and the wording is being checked.
The short version
- We only collect what you send us in an enquiry, plus the basic technical information any website receives.
- We use it to reply to you and to talk about working together. We don't sell it.
- No advertising trackers and no analytics. One small cookie remembers your currency, and only if you pick one.
- If you buy a plan, Whop handles the payment. Your card details go straight to Whop, not to us.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, such as your enquiry. We can't delete information other companies hold, like Google.
Who we are
Anvil Systems builds websites and follow-up systems for trade businesses. It is run by [Legal business name to be added] ([Business address to be added]). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Anvil Systems and [Legal business name to be added]. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
For anything about privacy, email [Contact email to be added].
What this policy covers
This policy covers our website (anvilsystems.io) and the enquiries people send us. When we run systems for a client, such as text replies or review requests sent to that client's customers, we handle that information on the client's behalf and under our agreement with them. The client's own privacy policy applies to their customers.
What we collect
What you send us. If you fill in our enquiry form, we receive:
- your name, mobile number and trade (required);
- your business name, email address and town or service area, if you give them;
- the services you're interested in, the best time to reach you and your message;
- your agreement that we can contact you about your enquiry.
We need your name, mobile number and trade to reply to you; without them we can't deal with your enquiry. Everything else is up to you.
Our form isn't sending enquiries yet, so for now nothing you type into it reaches us. This section describes what will happen once it does.
If you email, text or call us, we receive what you choose to tell us and your contact details.
What any website receives.Our site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, it receives technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you ask for and when. The host keeps this in short-term logs to run and protect the site. We also use the country your IP address points to, at the moment you visit, to show prices in your currency. We don't store it.
What we don't collect.We don't use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
Payments (Whop)
Payments for our plans are handled by Whop, an outside payment processor. When you pay on our checkout page, you type your card and billing details directly into Whop's checkout form, which sits on our page but is run by Whop. Whop collects and processes those details, not us. We never see or store your full card details.
Whop may use its own cookies or tracking inside its checkout form. That is covered by Whop's own privacy policy, not this one.
We receive only the limited details we need to set up and run your plan, such as your name, email address, the plan you chose and whether your payments went through.
To see, correct or delete the information Whop holds about you, please ask Whop directly under its privacy policy. We can help you get in touch with them.
Cookies
We use one cookie, called anvil_currency. It is set only if you choose a currency on our pricing page, it remembers that choice for up to a year, and it contains nothing but the currency code. It isn't used for tracking or advertising. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about working together. You asked us to, and agreed to be contacted; it's also a step towards a possible agreement with you.
- To run, secure and fix the website. This is in our legitimate interest in having a working, safe site.
- To remember your currency, because you asked for it.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business and tax records if you become a client.
We won't use your details for marketing unless you've agreed to it, and you can say no at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information. We only share it with:
- our team, who work from Canada, Sweden and Australia, and only as needed to deal with your enquiry;
- our payment processor, Whop, which collects payment details directly from you (see Payments);
- the services that run our business for us, such as our website host (Vercel) and, once connected, the email and customer-management tools that receive our enquiries ([Names of the tools that will receive form enquiries to be added]);
- anyone the law requires us to share it with.
Information sent to other countries
Because our team and the services we use are in different countries, including the United States, your information may be stored or viewed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the standard contract terms our service providers offer, so it stays protected to the standard your own law expects.
How long we keep it
If you don't become a client, we keep your enquiry for up to [Retention period, e.g. 24 months to be added] after we last talked, then delete it. If you become a client, we keep what we need for as long as we work together, and business records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Your rights
These rights cover the personal information we hold ourselves: mainly enquiries sent through our form, emails, texts and notes from calls, and records about our clients. Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it if it's wrong;
- delete it, or stop or limit how we use it;
- give it to you in a common file format;
- stop contacting you, or withdraw an agreement you gave earlier.
Email [Contact email to be added]to ask. It's free. We'll reply within 30 days and may need to check it's really you first.
What we can't do.We can only change or delete information we hold. We can't delete or change information held by other companies, such as Google (including Google reviews and Business Profiles), review sites or phone networks; please ask them directly. If you're a customer of a business we work for, that business decides what happens to your information, so please contact them; we'll help them act on your request. And we may have to keep some records, such as invoices, for as long as tax or accounting laws require, even if you ask us to delete them; if so, we'll tell you.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to your privacy regulator:
- in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada;
- in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), or the data protection authority where you live in the EU;
- in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Keeping it safe
Our site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). [How enquiries are protected: who on the team can see them, and how the accounts that hold them are secured to be added] No system is perfectly secure, but if something went wrong that put your information at risk, we would tell you and the regulator where the law requires it.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to you, for example if we start using a new kind of tool, we'll say so clearly here.
